Well folks, it looks like we are in for a busy year.  We are only planning on breeding the females once a year.  It keeps them in top condition, happy and healthy.  So if you have a particular set of parents for your new family member, please contact us.  The tiny tots are not recomended for family's with real young children, they are more delicate. They also can not be shipped alone if they are very small.  The puppies that are expected to be in the 5 to 8 pound  range are usually ready to ship at 8 weeks, maybe 12 if they are smaller. That is a great size for kids, small enough to carry around and not as delicate. 

If you are considering buying a puppy, from us or someone else, PLEASE, ask questions, look at the parents, that should give you a good idea as to their adult size.  Ask about grand-parents as well.  There are no guarantees, the toy rat terrier is a relatively new size, and sometimes there are throw backs. People tell me that their dog was only supposed to be 8 pounds and grew to be 14 pounds. Sometimes it just happens, sometimes it is the result of and accidental breeding, or they just honestly don't know how big their dogs really are !  It has happened to us also. Thats why we try so hard to make sure you are getting what you are paying for.  We only purchase our stock from very experienced and reputable breeders from around the country.  We strive for excellence.
